First Steps

Once your account is created, you will be able to access the workshop from the site's navigation menu to write a new story.

Interface Overview

After confirming the creation of your story, you arrive at this screen :

The editor's interface can be broken down into six parts.

1 Header Bar: Here you find the title of your story and your statistics to know at a glance the number of words and sequences.

2 Main Menu: This menu presents various global features of the editor.

3 Tools Menu: This menu allows selecting the different tools of the editor.

4 Tools Header: This section is used to display specific options for the selected tool. For the “Sequences” tool, it will display the information of the selected sequence.

5 Main Tools Panel: This panel is the workspace linked to the tools.

6 Secondary Tools Panel: This panel displays secondary information related to tools when necessary. Most of the time, it will display the graph of your story.

Functioning

Moiki stories, or moikis, are organized as a sequence of sequences, each sequence being equivalent to a screen in the story reader.

Concretely, you modify your sequences in the main panel (the text, links, etc.) and the graph in the secondary panel is built automatically, allowing you to have an overview of your sequences.

Of course, there is a bit more subtlety, and other tools, but that's the general principle.

In the next chapters, we will see in more detail how the main menu and the different tools work.
